The Postgraduate Programs of the Faculdades EST (PPGs-EST) has the specific task of fomenting Postgraduate studies in Theology. They include Master’s and Doctoral programs in Theology and Professional Master’s programs, as well as Specialization (Lato Sensu) programs.
The programs offered by the PPGs-EST are recognized through the Evaluative Report nº 33/2008 of the Chamber of Higher Education of the National Council of Education and homologated by the State Minister of Education through Ordinance nº 524/2008, published in the DOU (Official Daily Journal of the Union) of April 30, 2008 (p. 21 and 36).
The PPGs-EST count on an Ecumenical Council made up of representatives of churches and religious associations which, in a consultative manner, or by delegation of the Administrative Council, in a deliberative and decision making manner, take on the role of fomenting Postgraduate studies in theology. The Ecumenical Council is formed by the following churches and associations: the Methodist Church, the Evangelical Church of Lutheran Confession in Brazil, the Independent Presbyterian Church of Brazil, the United Presbyterian Church of Brazil, the Seventh Day Adventist Church, the Anglican Episcopal Church of Brazil and the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Brazil.
